George and I flew to Melbourne at the begining of December for our first anniversary. We stayed in a lovely hotel in Melbourne, had an early evening meal and went to see the Phantom of the Opera. Lanthi picked us up the next day and we stayed with her for a few days, so I lucky enough to see Thushari twice in one month......very special. Next visit will be February when Janet and I will fly over and stay for about four days..........lots of shopping we hope.

Eleni and Adrian had their engagement lunch on the Sunday before Xmas at our house, it was a lovely day, very relaxing and both sets of families were able to get to know one another.
Adrian proposed to Eleni in Sth Africa on Table Mountain, but the ring was designed by a jeweller when they returned. Adrian "tricked" Eleni by having the jeweller phone to say that the ring would not be ready by Sunday. Eleni put on a brave face on the day but was very disappointed there was no "bling to show off". Here is Adrian suprising Eleni with the "ring". He did it very well !!......she was happy !!

Lanthi and Lockie drove over from Melbourne for Xmas with Thushari, this made Xmas very special for us all this year. Andrew arrived home from Newman. W.A. where he had been working all year, it was lovely to be together around the Xmas table. George's children and partners came for tea and we had the traditional game of backyard cricket, to run off some of the food. Andrew has applied for work in Moomba S.A. they fly you to and from, it is three weeks o and a week home, he is hoping to hear at the beginning of the year. Hope you all had a very happy xmas and we wish you good health and happiness for the new year.
