Janet and I had a visit to Melbourne staying with lanthi and Lockie for five days. We managed a couple of days shopping, I bought Lanthi a new outfit which she wore to Priscilla Queen of the Desert on our last night. The musical was great fun, with over 40 costume changes, dazzling costumes, lots of laughter and great music.......Lanthi even got to dance on the stage, we had a terrific girlie night out. We also went to a coupe of wineries and had a lovely lunch at Chateau Yering a beautiful old house with large gardens and winery in the Yarra Glen district, about an hours drive from Forest Hill, where Lanthi lives.

Thushari has changed so much in just a month, she is now sitting in a high chair and on solids, loves her food.......bangs the chair if you are not quick enough with the spoon. Has found her feet, even sucks her big toe......just like her Mumy did. Pokes out her tongue.......just like her Mummy!! Tries so hard to talk, she is very funny and has quite a disconcerting stare, so we call her "stare bear". She is a happy little girl, sleeps through the night, can sit up on her own for a few seconds and just today, did a bit of a combat crawl, much to her Mums excitement. The Doctors are very happy with her development and in many ways she has almost caught up,even teething with a top tooth looking like it may come through.
Xmas this year was great fun, Thushari being the best Xmas present of them all. Lanthi and Lockie stayed with us for a week and Andrew was home from Newan. George's children came for dinner in the evening with their partners and they day was finished off with a backyard game of cricket on the tennis court We had snapper and chicken for lunch and prawns and ham for dinner, given up buying xmas cake and pudding, the only person that eats it is me and I certainly do not need it. Thushari was totally unaware of the opening of presents, but for us it was great fun buying for her and she enjoyed playing with them all. Lanthi and Lockie also had Xmas in Melbourne and Thushari was spoilt there as well, I think Nana Locke had been buying since July!!
